Investment casting is the abbreviation of investment casting. It is made of a fusible material (also known as a melting mold) with a material that is easy to handle (such as wax). It is coated with several layers of special refractory paint (sanded sand), dried and chemically hardened to form a whole. The module, and then the molten mold is melted from the module to obtain a hollow shell; then the shell is placed in a baking furnace and calcined at a high temperature; and finally, a casting obtained by casting molten metal therein is used.

Process flow

Mold design and manufacturing: design and process molds according to the requirements of product parts;

Investment molding: injecting a paste-like fusible molding into a mold to form a welding mold;

Module assembly: if ten melting modules are welded to the pouring wax to form a module;

Prepare the mold shell: apply refractory paint on the surface of the module, top the refractory material (fine sand), put it into the hardener to make the coating hard

This is repeated several times to form the surface of the module into a hard shell that meets the thickness requirements.

Loss-injection mold (dewaxing): The module that completes the shell is placed in a baking furnace, and the mold material is completely melted to form a hollow mold shell.

Form shell roasting: the mold shell is placed in a cooked furnace for roasting to increase strength and gas permeability;

Metal casting: pouring molten metal into a hollow mold shell to form a casting after cooling;

Shelling and cleaning: Machine or manual shelling and removal of the sputum, and after the other cleaning work, the required precision castings are obtained.
