Brief Introduction

Lost Wax Investment Casting is the process by which a duplicate  metal sculpture (often silver,gold, brass or bronze) is cast from an original sculpture. Intricate works can be achieved by this method.

Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting, is a fusible model (referred to as a melting mold or a model) made of a fusible material (such as wax or plastic), on which several layers of special refractory coatings are applied. After drying and hardening to form a monolithic shell, the model is melted from the shell with steam or hot water, then the shell is placed in a sand box, filled with dry sand molding around it, and finally the mold is placed in the roaster The high temperature baking is carried out (for example, when the high-strength type shell is used, the mold shell after demolding can be directly calcined without molding), and the mold or the shell is fired, and molten metal is poured therein to obtain a casting.
